If we discover some GUMPTION we should get seven points.
However yesterday made it clear we have none in the squad without Noble and that when he's not in the team no cunt will tackle anyone.

One of the few good thing about yesterday is that we started strong but then got done by some individual errors and some top level pace and finishing for the first goal. Tried to adjust and get something from the game and it got much worse.
We have not started strong very much. It is up to the manager to pick them up off the canvas and go again.
Maybe Masuaku in and Rice as captain would help because definitely should have the quality.

No, not really. Man City will do that to plenty of teams this year. I went into the game expecting a 4 0 defeat and would have been right if not for a soft penalty being taken twice. With new players settling and more to come, I feel quite unperturbed by the result and think we'll have a decent season.

True test of our potential.
0 points - terrible season ahead. Last year's start and recovery were explicable in terms of MP being new to the club and coaching the defence to a high standard. I can't see him bringing anything new to the defence this time round.
1-3 points - recoverable, but top half unlikely.
4-5 points - still in the dark, need more games to decide
More - (the merrier) the start of a steady ascent

Let's face it, you can't take many positives out of a 5-0 defeat no matter who the opposition was. We completely capitulated yet again and it ended up pretty embarrassing. I hope lessons will be learned. We played some good football in the first half but we simply gave up at 1-0 as I doubt we believed we had it in us to come back against City. This is worrying as it shows a major vulnerability within the squad despite how good certain individuals are. If we go 1-0 down to Brighton - which I fully expect we will - how we react could set a precedent for the remainder of the season.
